It hasn’t been all that long since the Eclipse Cross was first added to the Mitsubishi lineup. The iconic nameplate was resurrected and amended with the word Cross to introduce a brand-new vehicle to what the brand had to offer. The result was the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and in the few short years that have followed it has certainly begun establishing its own legacy that could one day eclipse its predecessor’s, if you pardon the pun. Now there is a fast-approaching release date for the newest iteration of the vehicle later this year, the 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, with a few exciting updates despite its youth.

What’s new for 2023?

Only a few key changes were made ahead of the 2023 model year, but they’re impactful nonetheless. The most exciting of the subtle enhancements is the complete standardization of the incredible Super All-Wheel Control AWD system available on many Mitsubishi vehicles. This is joined by a brand new design for the 18” alloy wheel option, newly standard LED headlights and foglights, as well as more refined trim pieces on the front and sides in certain trim levels.

Which trim levels are available?

Speaking of trim levels, you might be wondering how many options you have this year. The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be available in four different trim levels of increasing value and number of standard features. The base starts things off with the ES and moves up through the ranks of LE, SE and SEL. If you want a little extra, you can opt for the basic Panorama Package on the SE trim level, which simply adds black roof rails and the power panoramic sunroof. Or, you can opt for the true top of the line when it comes to the Eclipse Cross, by adding the Touring Package to the SEL trim. This adds a host of exciting features and tech to make it a true marvel.
