When it comes to traditional cars, the Mitsubishi brand has made several icons throughout its existence. One of those legendary vehicles is still around today in the form of the Mitsubishi Mirage, which has been around since all the way back in 1978. What’s new for 2022?

After last year’s facelift, Mitsubishi didn’t really need to make any updates, but they decided to do so anyway. Enhancements include a new standard passenger-side vanity mirror, lighting upon entering and exiting the vehicle, plus automatic headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers on the SE and BE trim levels. Speaking of the BE trim level, that’s the biggest change for 2022. The brand re-introduced the Black Edition trim level.

Advanced Safety Tech

As with just about every vehicle on the market today, the hatchback Mirage sedan offers several advanced safety technologies meant to make driving even safer. Standard in the 2022 Mirage is the Forward Collision Mitigation system with Pedestrian Detection. The SE trim level adds Lane Departure Warning and Automatic High beams to the mix, while several other great technologies and features are included on all trims.

Customization Options

Not only do Mirage purchasers get to choose which trim level they want and things like which exterior color it should be, but Mitsubishi has added several other great customization options. This includes several unique packages like Black Out, Convenience, Style Illumination and Protection Value. All of these packages add a series of great design cues and/or features, but you can also opt for a host of great accessories as well.
