It was first introduced in 2012 as a midsize luxury sedan, which is the segment it remains in today. There have been plenty of different trim levels and special edition models introduced through the years, but it remains one of the most sought after models on the lineup. It was followed in 2017 by the brand’s second sedan (fourth vehicle overall), the Model 3. The Tesla Model 3 is a compact luxury sedan with a more affordable price tag than other models on the lineup. The brand’s first entry into the utility vehicle market was the Model X (third vehicle overall), introduced in 2015. Independence Day Celebration Finally, if you’re a big fan of live music, then the Independence Day Celebration hosted by Tortilla Soup Music Inc. might be the perfect event for you. It includes music from six different bands - Tortilla Soup Band, Zebop, Cisco Kid, Clean Slate, Momotombosf and Houserockers, plus event host DJ Cheatos. The DJ will kick things off at 6 p.m. and music will start at 6:15 sharp. Just a few months ago, the all-new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander was released across the country, including right here at San Jose Mitsubishi in California. The vehicle has already become quite popular not just here but everywhere it’s available, and soon it will be joined by the lineup’s new flagship crossover, the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. While the gasoline version has laid the groundwork, the plug-in hybrid Outlander is sure to blow the roof off upon its arrival sometime in the second half of the 2022 calendar year. more “Since its launch in May 2022, the gasoline version of all-new Outlander has been a homerun, setting sales records monthly even in the face of global supply challenges. When sales begin in the U.S., the 2023 Outlander PHEV will take its place as the flagship of the Mitsubishi fleet. It is the most advanced and best equipped vehicle we have ever sold, and it is the perfect blend of quiet and clean electric motoring, with the range and ease of refueling of a gasoline-powered vehicle.” Mark Chaffin, President & CEO, Mitsubishi Motors North America Powertrain & Drive System While Mitsubishi hasn’t released very much information about the upcoming Outlander PHEV, we know that it will adopt a lot of the changes and enhancements that came to its gas-powered counterpart. It will continue to offer many of the same great aspects of that vehicle, including its spacious cabin and cargo area and functionality that’s both versatile and comfortable. The only real details we have are what its powertrain and drive system will be. The all-new Outlander PHEV will be powered by the newest version of the twin-motor 4WD PHEV system that has been perfected by Mitsubishi Motors. While exact specifications have yet to be released, the company has stated that the new motors will be more powerful than its predecessors. In addition, the powertrain’s drive battery has been increased in size, allowing for even more all-electric driving. This powertrain is of course tethered to the already iconic Super All-Wheel Control system that has become commonplace on the Mitsubishi lineup, and duo on which we cannot wait to get our hands.
