What’s new for 2023?

After a substantial redesign, the Outlander Sport takes small but mighty crossover performance to another level with All-Wheel Control. The most major change for the 2023 Outlander Sport is that AWC is now standard across all trims: S, ES, LE, SE, GT, and the limited-edition Ralliart. Front-wheel drive gets the axe in favor of all-wheel drive performance in the form of Mitsubishi’s Vehicle Dynamics Control System. AWC provides superior traction and control in nearly any condition – rain, shine, snow, gravel, and more. It works by assessing the road and braking force to all four wheels, providing the proper amount of traction for different circumstances.

2023 Outlander Sport Engine Specs

There are two engines available in the 2023 Outlander Sport. First, a 2.0L MIVEC DOHC 4-cylinder is the standard engine at all trims up to the SE. It delivers 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque accompanied by a Continuously Variable Transmission. The GT model offers more power in its 2.4L engine with 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are enhanced by features like Active Stability Control, Brake Assist, and Traction Control Logic while maintaining an impressive fuel economy and efficiency during any drive.
